Testing some things for the site

Humor America, PointyBagels, Documents

Originally, as many of you know, Humor America looked quite different.  Well, I've finally learned a passable amount of CSS, which means that I might be trying a few new things for this site, most notably reinstating the old background.  Initially, I'm only going to make minor changes, but I might wind up changing things like the background and fonts and stuff.  Please do not be alarmed if you happen to load the site and it looks atrocious, it is probably just me trying something out to see if it works.  However, if the problem persists, please PM me with the problem and what browser you are using.

Also, if anyone happens to have a copy of the old background image, I would greatly appreciate if you sent it to me.

I also apologize, because I've now made 2 posts in a row on this website and neither of them was funny.  As a remedy for that, I present you with funny (and slightly disturbing) video.

This is a video of a man singing gibberish intended to sound like English.  It is basically what English sounds like to people who do not speak it.

Why are there two HAs? Whatever happened to the previous one?

When TheDude originally left Mars, he took HA with him.  I put it back up within the day, but I never managed to get my hands on the original CSS.

I have some relatively advanced knowledge of HTML, I'll be happy to design a custom skin for this website if you're interested.

First major update is up.  I changed the background and a little bit of the color scheme elsewhere.  Please give feedback, but keep in mind that it is not really finished yet.

I don't like the red text and outlines.

Do you mean just the red text at the top?

Because for a few minutes I had all the text as red, before I dropped that.

Yes, and the red-outlined blue. I like the new picture, though.

Can we get rid of the background American flag please. Let's be international on humor...armerica.

Derp. That sounds different then how I want it too.

America is used as a name for the United States, and we are English speaking, so the flag is pertinent as "Humor America" clearly refers to the United States.

You mad bro?

I hate Macs with a passion...
But I like the old backround better.

I think this background is a good start, but we should let PointyBagels try a few backgrounds before settling with one.

People seem to be pretty split about the current background.

I'm going to do my best to find another one, but it is very hard to find good seamless backgrounds.

Right now I think the header is a bigger priority.  I like the blue, but I don't thing the specific blue I'm currently using is the best.  I'm going to see about some other colors.

I also PMed Flynn, as he told me long ago that he was in posession of the original CSS, which hopefully means he has the original background stored somewhere.

I have another background, but have not had the time to clean it up yet.  At the moment I think it is a bit too bright, but I will change that in a bit.

Hmm... I prefer the old one, this one looks like some sort or milkshake cup, or lollipop... :/

I still prefer mine though... Also, how is mine not seamless?

@ PanzerAce: The blue will be in the header. The background is going to be red and white.

There's already a star over the "I" in America. Perhaps I should make that one golden?

I thought the burger was funny, since it does describe America pretty well, and all the time in a humourous fashion.
If everyone wants it taken out, I can take it out, but in that case what should I have there instead?

Probably nothing, since that's where the text would be.

What are the opinions on the new website size?

At 1080p, the website is 10% larger at full screen, but can be resized down to a half screen window.

At 720p, it is slightly smaller at full screen, and can be resized down slightly, to about 2/3 of a screen.
